Memphis Tennessee.....WOW! How did I get here? When my dad called me at college telling me we were moving again I was cool with that. The exact words that came out of my mouth were "that’s fine...as long as we don't move to Tennessee I’m up for it. So where are we moving?" There was a short silence and then came the terrible answer..."Tennessee". No this was not some very unfunny joke...a month latter my family packed up and moved to Tennessee.

I pushed of the dreaded move myself as long as possible. I was up in Wisconsin finishing up my undergrad in humanities/photography. However the dreaded day did come in May of 2011 I graduated from college went to Turkey for a month and then made the drive down south to Tennessee. Dun dun dun!

Why such hatred to Tennessee you ask? I'm not sure I really know the answer to that question. Maybe because I love the North so very very much. I was born in Colorado (which is a neutral zone), but I moved to Pennsylvania on my first birthday and have been in love with the state ever since. I mean Gettysburg was less than an hour away from my house...How much anti south of a place can you get! Not only was I raised in the north I decided to go even farther up North for college to that freezing state of Wisconsin... Man I miss those cold cold winters.

"So what’s the point of all this?" you might be thinking. Well after living here for a year I can no longer bottle up the cynical comments inside of my head. I must share them with the world...and perhaps the humble pie I have had eat in recognizing the wrong presumptions I have had towards the south.

Feel free to join me or not...either way I'll be entertained by the crazy voices inside my head that finally get to be released onto the page.
